Ong Teck Chye is a seasoned commodities and energy markets professional with over 40 years of trading, risk management, and commercial leadership experience across global markets. He spent two decades with Cargill in senior trading and managerial roles, building new businesses and developing deep expertise in market fundamentals, hedging strategies, and multi-asset risk control—skills that form a strong foundation for disciplined portfolio management.

He later led petroleum trading and regional expansion at Marubeni International Petroleum and established Noble Resources’ petroleum trading division for Asia-Pacific, sharpening his ability to evaluate opportunities, manage volatility, and optimise returns across shifting market cycles.

From 2007 to 2014, Ong transformed Golden Agri Resources’ marketing and trading operations and led its China subsidiary, reinforcing his strength in macro analysis, supply-demand forecasting, and operational governance. He subsequently served as Senior General Manager and Head of Global Operations at R1 International, a subsidiary of Hainan Rubber Group, and as an Independent Non-executive Director at China Agri-Industries Holdings (COFCO Group).

Ong is currently a non-executive director of Vosbor Exchange Singapore and an independent non-executive director of Vosbor Exchange B.V. Amsterdam. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences (Honors) from the then University of Singapore.
